Plywood To Fix Sagging Couch

If your couch is starting to sag, don't despair! You can easily fix it yourself with a few pieces of plywood. Here's how:

1. Gather your materials. You will need:

Plywood (1/2-inch thickness is recommended)
Circular saw
Drill
Screws
Measuring tape
Pencil

2. Measure the area that needs to be reinforced. Use the measuring tape to determine the length and width of the area that is sagging. Add 2 inches to each measurement to allow for overlap.

3. Cut the plywood. Use the circular saw to cut the plywood to the desired size. Be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves when operating the saw.

4. Drill pilot holes. Drill pilot holes into the plywood around the perimeter, about 6 inches apart. This will help to prevent the plywood from splitting when you screw it into place.

5. Screw the plywood into place. Use the drill to screw the plywood into the frame of the couch. Be sure to countersink the screws so that they are flush with the surface of the plywood.

If the couch is sagging in multiple areas, you may need to reinforce the entire frame with plywood.
